Know your collection day.

Residential Waste
Thursday

Please place your bin out early so it is ready for collection. Once emptied, bring it back onto your property as soon as practicable.

Commercial Waste
Tuesday

Commercial collections take place on Tuesdays. Please ensure bins are accessible early and returned promptly after collection.

Collection arrangements can change over public holidays or during exceptional circumstances. Check Shire notices if a collection day falls within a holiday period.

Using the Waste Facility

Sort first. Unload second.

Waste at the Cue Waste Facility must be placed in the correct designated area. Sorting your load before arriving makes unloading quicker and helps keep recyclable, recoverable and general waste streams separate.

Follow signs at the site and place each type of waste only where directed. Do not leave waste at the entrance, beside another waste area or anywhere outside the designated disposal point.

If you are unsure where something belongs, contact the Shire before disposal rather than guessing.

Before you leave home

Separate your load into the correct waste streams.

Site signage identifies the areas available for different types of waste. Keeping materials separate makes the facility safer and reduces unnecessary contamination.

General Waste

General household rubbish

Place non-recoverable general waste only in the area identified for general disposal.

Recoverable Materials

Keep useful materials separate

Metal, green waste, whitegoods and other recoverable materials should be kept separate where designated areas are provided.

Not Sure?

Ask before unloading

If a material is unusual, potentially hazardous or does not clearly fit one of the disposal areas, contact Works & Services first.

Contact Us First

Some waste must not arrive unannounced.

Please contact the Shire before bringing commercial, contaminated or liquid waste to the Cue Waste Facility.

Staff need to confirm whether the material can be accepted, where it must be taken, any conditions applying to disposal and whether charges or other requirements apply.

Do not assume that because a material is waste it can automatically be disposed of at the facility.
