Stay in Cue • Western Australia

Accommodation

Caravan sites, historic cottages, motel rooms, hotel and guest house accommodation, a free short-stay RV area or a genuine Murchison station stay — find somewhere to settle in and make Cue your base.

Before you travel

Book ahead &
come prepared

Accommodation in Cue should be booked in advance. Cue has a limited number of rooms and caravan sites and availability can disappear quickly.

Demand is regularly increased by mining and exploration activity, contractors and visiting work crews, as well as tourists travelling through the Murchison. School holidays, long weekends, local events, wildflower season and the cooler winter months can place additional pressure on accommodation.

If Cue is an overnight stop on your journey, do not assume accommodation will be available when you arrive. Contact your preferred accommodation provider and confirm your booking before travelling.

Self-contained RV travellers also have the option of the Shire's free 48-hour RV stop at Dowley Street and Robinson Street. The 48-hour limit applies and travellers requiring a longer stay or caravan park facilities should book at the Cue Tourist Park.

Food & supplies

Stock up before you arrive

Cue does not have a full supermarket. The Cue Roadhouse carries a limited range of food, drinks, ice and basic supplies, and meals are available from local businesses, but visitors should not rely on being able to complete a full grocery shop in town.

If you are self-catering, camping, prospecting or staying for several days, bring the food and supplies you need with you. The nearest full supermarkets are in Mount Magnet, approximately 80 km south, and Meekatharra, approximately 110 km north along the Great Northern Highway.

Planning your stay

A small town with a busy accommodation market

Cue's accommodation serves far more than the town's resident population. Rooms and sites are regularly used by mining and exploration crews, contractors, government and service providers, prospectors and visitors travelling through the Murchison.

This means accommodation can become fully booked even when there is no major event in town. School holidays, long weekends, wildflower season and the cooler travelling months can further increase demand.

Book first, then travel.
