Responsible Asset Management

Managing today's assets for tomorrow

The Shire of Cue is responsible for a wide range of community infrastructure and physical assets that support the delivery of local services and facilities.

Asset management planning helps Council understand the condition, performance and long-term needs of these assets and plan for their maintenance, renewal and replacement in a financially sustainable way.

This long-term approach assists Council to balance community expectations, service levels, available funding and the ongoing cost of maintaining infrastructure across the district.

Why it matters
Good planning today reduces pressure tomorrow.
Maintain services
Keep infrastructure performing at appropriate service levels.
Plan renewals
Identify when assets require maintenance, renewal or replacement.
Manage costs
Understand the long-term financial impact of infrastructure decisions.
